As one of the newest senior living communities in the Greater Portland area, MorningStar of Happy Valley is scheduled to open in late 2019. We will bring to the area not only exceptional assisted living but our specialized, loving approach to memory care.

We recognize that the essence of the individual remains despite the extent of the memory loss, and that our job is to find ways to connect with and nurture it.  MorningStar’s philosophy and approach to this kind of supported living is encompassed under the breadth of possibilities we call “Lavender Sky.” Thus each day we strive to thoughtfully “enter, embrace and explore” the world of dementia.  All of our team members regardless of their position will receive training in Lavender Sky, which will give them an expanded set of tools to provide residents with extraordinary care.
